What should I expect at my first appointment?
When you arrive for your first appointment with one of our orthopedic surgeons, we will ask a variety of questions to get as much information as possible about the source of your discomfort including the location and severity of the pain as well as information about the onset of the pain. We will gather information about your medical history and your level of activity in order to determine how your pain is affecting your daily life.
Additional testing may need to be ordered such as an X-ray, CT Scan, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Ultrasound, or Electromyography (EMG). These may be done on the same day or require a future appointment date depending on which test must be performed.
