Dr. James Caldwell is the latest interventional pain management physician to join the medical staff at Arkansas Surgical Hospital. 

Dr. Caldwell is a board-certified anesthesiologist and fellowship-trained interventional pain specialist, now seeing patients at Proper Pain Solutions, located at 5800 W. 10th Street, Suite 205, Little Rock, AR 72204.

“I’m excited to help the people of Arkansas get back to doing the things they love,” Dr. Caldwell said. “Pain can be debilitating and my goal is to help alleviate that pain and get them back to their everyday activities.”

Dr. Caldwell brings a patient-centered approach to chronic pain care with expertise in advanced interventional techniques, including fluoroscopic-guided epidural steroid injections, rhizotomy, joint injections, nerve blocks, kyphoplasty, vertebroplasty, interspinous spacer implants, minimally invasive lumbar decompression, sacroiliac joint fusion, spinal cord stimulation, peripheral nerve stimulation, and dorsal root ganglion stimulation.

Dr. Caldwell completed his undergraduate studies at Louisiana Tech University and earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University Shreveport School of Medicine. He completed his internship in internal medicine at the University of Florida Shands College of Medicine, his residency in anesthesiology at Virginia Commonwealth University, and his fellowship in interventional pain management at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine.
